Conveniently Inconvenient

So I had to finally do my passport as I will be flying off to Manila in 2 weeks time, not to mention I need it to apply for visa to go to Beijing at the end of the year.

Feeling determined to do it today since I was feeling kinda sick yesterday, I set my alarm clock at 6.30 so that I could go there early and get it done fast. Naturally, after sleeping back and getting up again for like a million times, I finally got up and was on my way to go to the old Subang Airport by 7.30am.

I arrived at the place at 7.45 and noticed that the parking is charged by the hour at RM1.50 per hour. I thought nothing of it at the time as I was notified by some friends that they now have a machine that you can just dump your stuff in and pick it up in 1 or 2 hours. It's supposed to be reliable and convenient.

So I parked and walked in, looking for the machine. I asked the guard there and he said thet the machine broke down yesterday, so everyone has to do it manually. He said I need to go get the form, fill it up and get a number. I was thinking like, oh well, I guess that's just like an extra hour or so. Then the guard showed me where to get the form.
There was a huge line at the counter to get the form, wanna know why?
BECAUSE IT'S THE SAME ONE THAT YOU HAVE TO LINE UP TO GET THE WAITING NUMBER FROM!!!
So basically, people have to line up there to get their form, fill up the form and line up at the line again to get a number!!!
Having no choice, I lined up. It took about a good 30 minutes till I finally got my form. I filled it up and lined up again. I finally got my number, 1120, at 8.53am, almost 40 minutes later.

Knowing that it would take a while, I decided to go get a drink at the cafeteria nearby. Needless to say, it wasn't a very good teh tarik as they use the cheap tea, the one that leaves your throat feeling like crap afterwards. I went back to check the number after my drink, it wasn't even close to mine yet, so after a while, I went back to the cafeteria to have toast and milo. It wasn't too bad this time, although, it is kinda hard to mess up toast and milo, so I guess that's why.

I went back after that and sat inside the stuffy waiting area. I waited and waited and finally, my number was called at 11.15am! So I went, and this time, it's just to pass the forms in and give my fingerprints. I was given the same number again and was told to wait, this time to PAY!

Waited and waited and waited and finally, lucky me, at 12.22 I was finally called to pay for my passport. After paying, you know when you'll get the passport? 2 hours later... bah...

Sick of waiting for so long, I decided to go home and come back later to pick it up since it's near my place.

I guess I should have expected it, but I can't help but get pissed off. Is it really necessary to line up and wait 4 times to get a passport processed? It feels like such a con because people have no choice but to park there, and they have no choice but to wait, and if they're hungry they have no choice but to eat at the cafeteria there, it's like, the least they could do is charge a flat rate for the parking, I mean, people don't really go there to have fun or have a picnic, they're there that long because the system requires them to be there that long. So great the con of man...

Burned a good 5 hours of my life for nothing and had to pay RM7.50 for parking... bah...

On a different note though, notice how there's always a whole bunch of kids at these kinda places? Like to make and IC or to make a Passport, there's always a bunch of kids, and I always wonder why their parents bring them. I know some of them have to be there cos it's their passport, but I see some kids just being there to hold a handbag, poor kids, haha.

Also, notice how there's never anyone attractive when it comes to these kind of things? You look around and look around, but nope, not a single one.
I think it's a conspiracy... no wait, I'm convinced that it's a conspiracy! Beautiful people don't need passports, don't require licence, don't need identification cards and they aren't allowed to line up for anything!!!
Damn, I wish I was beautiful too... :-p

I Get Money, Money I got

It's been a while but there's some news!
I've recently managed to get back all of my RM550 from the dude who ripped me off! It took a while and he missed a couple of payments but I finally got it all back and it's pretty satisfying.
However, I am now more convinced than ever that both of them are the same people. There's been a couple of times where I called the conman and the person who picks up says he's the guy that's helping me out and he'll try to contact the conman and some days where I try to call the other guy's number and the conman picks up and says that he'll pay soon.
I think it's pretty obvious somewhere along the way he forgot which number he used for who and accidentaly mixed them up revealing his true identity. Such a shame if you ask me, cos he really went out of his way to make up stories and expressions to prove that he's a different guy.
Oh well, sepandai-pandai tupai melompat, akhirnya jatuh ke tanah jua. Such a dumbass.

Also, it's been a pretty busy week for me, but a pretty interesting one too. For starters, I did my first paid MCing job! It wasn't anything big, a friend of mine wanted to have a 21st birthday party for her and all of the friends that's turning 21 this year. I guess you could say it was a birthday party for everyone. They had it at this really nice place in Bangsar. I had lotsa fun and experience is always good!
I also finally finished my rap recording for Senthil's song! It sounds good so far, right now just waiting for them to master it, should be cool!
I'm trying to start a Magic club together in Monash as well, it's been approved and next week we have to promote it and get members. Got very little members so far, but I'm hoping more would join.
However, among all the days, no days were more tiring than yesterday. Had a lunch thing at Farah's, then there was a gathering at some place in Bandar Utama by the BU scout troop that I helped train with the other Rovers last time. It was cool cos I haven't seen these kids for a long time! Not to mention I was able to meet my scoutmaster and my fellow scouts. I couldn't stay long for the thing however cos I had to go to Syaida's surprise birthday party at a park in Subang Jaya. It was really cool as well, the food was good, and it was such a beautiful place, there was a lake and all next to the park, yea, random but true. As soon as Syaida arrived and I had some food, I had to leave again cos some AFSers were leaving Malaysia for good so they threw a party at their apartment near TTDI. It was alright, I didn't know most of the people but Trisha was there, and Hsien Yew came later. Stayed as long as I could and left when I was just too tired.
All in all its been fun. I'm supposed to go for the Orientation Bash camping trip yesterday and today, was so excited about it when I first found out about it, but I guess it was just very wrong timing for me.

Oh well, as a final note, as if you haven't already, go watch The Dark Knight! I really loved Batman Begins and it was my favourite Batman movie before this, but as far as Batman movies goes, this one definitely takes the cake! Before I watched it, I was happy to hear it's by the same director, and I have to say, he did not dissapoint :-)
However, I am pretty sad that we will never see the same Joker again. Let's hope if they get a replacemen for him, the guy would be able to perform half as well as Heath did. RIP.

Vice President Icky

And so I was quite recently elected as the Vice President of the Monash University Student Council. The reason why they needed another Vice President is because the current VP is understandably busy, being a Medical student and all, so they needed someone else to help out.
I am quite happy I was elected, however, I have just came to the realization today on how busy I am going to be! Looking through my handphone calendar I find that lots of my days for the next few weeks have been filled up with something. I guess that's the problem of wanting to do everything...

For Monash, there's orientation week next week, then there's orientation camp, street carnival soon after, and not to mention Monash Ball.
In my Magic world, theres Prerelease Mania this weekend, Eventide Prerelease next week, then there's Release Party the week after, PTQ Berlin the week after that, soon after is Malaysian Nationals and 2 weeks after that I'm flying to Manila for Grand Prix Manila.

So basically my weekdays is Monash stuff, classes and Kelsey, while my weekends are Magic (and more Monash stuff). How will I find time to playtest? I was determined to do well this Nationals but looking to the future I see many time constrains. Not to mention I don't wanna fly all the way to Manila and scrub out like a fool.

I guess I'll manage it somehow, I've always loved doing all these stuff. I'm just a little stressed thinking about it right now... there's so many other things that I have put aside... I wanna perform more, and there's my DJing that I wanted so much to be good at, not to mention my much procrastinated completion of my songs. I don't even have as much time to meet many of my friends anymore... feels like everybody is slowly drifting away... TV shows? Yeah, right! Even talking about setting aside time for gym right now is a joke.

I gotta fix this, can't be lazy anymore, I must be better.

I miss you Harris, I know you're in a better place now but I just miss you... I wish we had met more often, I wish you didn't move so far away, damn I wish it never happened. I'm sorry I was missing from the last few years of your life...

Sometimes life moves so fast and we take things for granted. No matter how busy and exciting life can be, let's not forget what's important.

Icky Gets Ripped Off... Part 2

And so my exams are finally over. It ended with a pretty demoralizing Macroeconomics paper but oh well, such is life.

Interesting things has happened since I got conned off RM550, here's what happened.
Andrew came back from Australia ad one day, him, his friend and me went for dinner. We were talking about my misfortune and Andrew's friend said that I should call the mechanic and ask for the number plate because he can track down the guy with it. We continued talking and finally decided to make a police report. That was of course a waste of time but at least I've fulfilled my responsiblity.

I then called the mechanic again the next day asking for the number plate and full name. The mechanic said he'd look for it and get back to me. That evening I got a call from mr "private number" again. I immedietely asked for my money back and was obviously too pissed off to face more of this "what are you talking about" drama. He asked me to listen and I finally did. His story is that he owns a cybercafe and a boy that always plays at his cybercafe borrowed his phone that day to make calls. He really didn't know what I was talking about then my SMS got him thinking and he asked the boy about it and the boy admitted. Long story short, he's making the boy pay me back the money. He said that he's gonna make the boy pay me RM50 every 2 days because the boy doesn't have much money and he doesn't want the boy to con other people just to pay me back. Apparently the boy doesn't have money cos he's a gambler and the person I banked in my money to was his bookie which he owed money to. I agreed finally because I thought at least I'll be getting it back.

2 days later came and I was glad to see that RM50 was banked in that day, and even 2 days later another RM50. However, the next payment was supposed to be yesterday but I forgot to call the guy about it cos I was busy. I remembered about it today and SMSed him asking if the boy had deposited the money. He said he'll ask and let me know. Didn't get back from him so I went to the ATM to check, no deposits yesterday. Tried calling the guy but "the number you have dialled cannot be reached". I wasn't too worried cos the same thing happened before but he did call me back, so I thought nothing of it. Until now I haven't gotten a call and I still can't reach him so I have a feeling that I've been had once again. I'm gonna see if I hear from him tomorrow, if not, I'll try calling the mechanic again. It sucks but oh well, at least that's RM100 more that what I thought I'd ever get back.

I still don't believe that there are 2 different guys, I have the biggest gut feeling that they're both the same person. I didn't care cos I was still getting back my money, and now this happens. Some people are scums.

Needless to say, don't be a dumbass like me who thinks he's too damn smart to get conned cos he asked for proof first. Bleh.

Beware the Procrastinator

And so I'm supposed to be studying for my exams, have my second paper very soon and I'm not very prepared (yeah, yeah, what's new)...

I was sitting in the library last Friday and had a mental block, couldn't do a thing! But naturally, all these other ideas will pop up in your head when you need it the least, haha. So I rhymed.

See exam's, on monday, and today, is friday,

Get it done, in three days, cos if not, then i'm dead,

With no concentration, doing well isn't an easy feat,

So in the end i'm bound to fail and will have to repeat,

Oh look at what I did, im in so much of shit,

So unprepared, ain't no paper I can sit,

Just sittin, prepare my mind for its demise,

The statement "did the best i could" for me i know is full of lies,

Just because I, know I didn't spend much time,

Instead I spent the time I had to write this page of rhyme,

You know whats the worst crime? Its to procrastinate,

Cos it just makes you do your work only when its too late,

But even when its late, you don't want to do it,

And so instead you tell yourself you need to go to bed,

And so you don't feel bad, you're waking early morning,

But when you do, cant do a thing because you keep yawning,

And when the exam's done, you know what you will think,
"I'll do better next semester" but you do the same.damn.thing.

Hahaha, so lame but so true!

On another note, I went to P. Ramlee The Musical: The Life, The Loves & The Inspiration last night!

It's the second season and this time they got another dude, Musly Ramlee, to play P. Ramlee, and I have to say, this guy NAILS the part! The talking, the singing, the movement, exactly like the great man himself! Needless to say, I enjoyed it immensely. Those who saw it will agree that Tiara Jacquelina has done it again! I'd tell everyone to go see it, but the last show is on Monday and the tickets are SOLD OUT. Maybe next season!
